Connection: The Path to Healing & Wellness

Thank you for your interest and consideration of the psychotherapy services of Sylvia J. Sandler, M.A., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Life is full of uncertainty and unexpected struggles that can leave us feeling anxious, depressed and overwhelmed. Perhaps you’re navigating changes in interpersonal relationships or employment. Maybe you are grieving an unexpected loss or a traumatic death of someone close. It may be possible you are experiencing caregiver burnout, or a crisis of self-identity. If this resonates with you, please reach out so we can explore a path toward healing, growth, and renewed purpose—together. As a Bi-Lingual Spanish Speaking Clinician, I am familiar with issues of acculturation and assimilation. Born in Mexico City, my immigrant background inspires my commitment to build significant cross-cultural connections influencing sustained collaboration, respect and understanding for all. Trained in EMDR and CBT informed, together we will try to make sense of what you are facing and work through those challenges. My hope is to help you to turn down the volume of your suffering as the painful moments of life play out. Focusing on your strengths, we’ll collaborate on a coping plan to help you feel encouraged, less stuck and more empowered. My aim is to help you uncover practical solutions & regain a sense of agency. Post traumatic growth is possible when we learn to manage symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. Give yourself the space to be responsive to your pain instead of letting it be in control of you. I invite you to let yourself find meaning and gain a sense of purposefulness based on your core values. You deserve to live fully and meaningfully - let's take that journey together.
